The Centre is independently inspected. Our Company Health and Safety Policy covers every aspect of the centre, including risk assessments, equipment checks, fire drills and alarms, accident reporting and emergency action plan.
SECURITY
*The house is self contained so it is easier to monitor students.
*Each landing is independently accessed so each group has their own clearly defined space.
*The house is locked and alarmed at 10.30pm.
*Teachers’ room keys open front door and classrooms.
*Student rooms are not locked
* A safe is available for cash or valuables
* A night duty person is always on call.
* Our staff are first aid appointed. We also have a first aid room.
FIRE SAFETY
* On the day of arrival we hold a fire drill to practise evacuation
* Emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, fire alarms and detectors are serviced regularly.
* We operate a no smoking policy inside the buildings
